My most recent book, published in October 2015, is Lead Me Home: Hardship and hope on the Oregon Trail. This is the first novel I have published under my own name. You can find out more about Lead Me Home on its page of this blog. [link]
My anthology Family Recipe: Sweet and saucy stories, essays and poems about family life was published in the spring of 2012. You can purchase it in paperback through CreateSpace or Amazon. And the ebook is available in two formats — Kindle (MOBI) and Nook (EPUB). For a sample essay from this anthology, “Normally Dysfunctional,” click here.
One of the stories in this book, “Family Recipe,” was previously published in Kansas City Voices, Volume 8 (2010). I’ve also had a short story, “Twenty-Four Hour Bugs,” published by Mozark Press in A Shaker of Margaritas: A Bad Hair Day.
I have had essays published in Chicken Soup for the Soul: All in the Family (2009), Chicken Soup for the Soul: Shaping the New You (2010), and Chicken Soup for the Soul: Parenthood (2013). One of my poems, “Esperanza,” was published on Spiritual Crossroads, a blog by Janet Sunderland. And I was a Midwest Voices columnist for The Kansas City Star in 2010.
